Central Park With Cousins, Disco Skating, Balto & a Polar Bear

Sunday 7 June: The mission: explore Central Park featuring Devon, Mommy, Daddy, Ethan, Alex & Aunt Peggy

June 11: New York City

Devon and Daddy hailed a cab on 9th & 43rd and took it all the way to the entrance of New York City's newest park, The High Line. We walked with Yellow Bear the entire length of the first section on a misty June morning. Afterwards we walked over to Whole Foods in Chelsea and shopped for our evening cocktail party.

Our Visit with Amma Mamma

On June 2nd, Devon, you and Daddy went to the Bearsville Theatre to have an audience with Amma Sri Karunamay "The Divine Mother" - an Indian guru - during her annual visit to Woodstock. We all wore white and we took a nature walk for peace & to end cancer with her and others, and then sat in the theatre for a couple hours waiting to see her. You played with other kids and were so great the entire day, very patient and sweet, as is your nature. When we did get to see her, Amma put her hand on your head and chanted a little while we held hands. And when then you sat in her lap, but got nervous and called out for your Dada. Everyone in the hall, including Amma, laughed. As she says, "don't be so serious, don't forget to laugh."

Hippo Park!!!

On the Upper West Side's Riverside Park there is a special playground called Hippo Park. On Wednesday, Daddy, Devon & Yellow Bear met up with Elisabeth, Gillian & Sophie Dog. Thanks Gillian for taking some pictures.

"You live in New York City..." for this week

We've been apartment & dog-sitting for the Cohens since Friday and it is a blast. Devon and Daddy met up with Mommy, Kate & Andrew at Caroline's and then walked through Times Square last night.
