Happy Birthday, Uncle Frank

The first entry of this blog of your life, Devon Grace, was written on a stormy August night in Maine, at the new family compound that was Uncle Frank's home. He is your great-great uncle - Nanny's older brother - and this wonderful little piece of serenity he called home for a quarter century we have & will enjoy & experience for the rest of our lives. So thanks and happy birthday, Uncle Frank, on this, Devon's second St. Patrick's Day.

Happy Saint Patrick's Day

We had a lovely St. Patrick's Day here at home, after a terrific weekend with Grampa in New Hampshire. Yesterday SuzannaMommy, MichaelDaddy and Devon Grace cruised on down to that greenest of towns, Boston MA, with Grampa (who had some office work) and visited the New England Aquarium. Darkened carpeted hallways, closer we crept to bright tanks of moving, wandering colorful swarms of sea life, a bright & curious baby, safe in the snuggly arms of mommy & then daddy, extends her arm, pointing towards the fish, the shark, the turtle, the birds, "take me closer," then a quick retreat back into the warm shoulder of Mommy & Daddy, and then... point again, take me back, 'I want to know.' A classic infovore like her parents, her grandparents and great-grandparents.
